Dr. Emily Schneider Speaks to CNN About Pregnancy Fears During COVID-19

CNN interviews OB-GYNs and expecting parents about the fear and uncertainty surrounding pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic

She also addressed patients’ questions and fears surrounding pregnancy and COVID-19.

As she dons her personal protective gear on camera, Dr. Schneider says surgical masks are like gold right now. She then enters the hospital where she has her temperature taken before proceeding.

When asked if she is advising patients who are considering starting a family to pause for the foreseeable future, Schneider said, “I’m honest with them, I tell them I don’t know.”

Schneider suggests her patients make the best decision for themselves and their family.

“We have very little data given that pregnancy is a 10-month time span and this virus hasn’t even been around for that long,” said Schneider.
